Introducing the New HLK
March 13, 2014
It’s a new day at HLK (for the record, Thursday). We’re excited to launch our new site, show off some recent work and give people like you an inside look at a few of the pluses that come with life at an independent agency.
HLK was born in 2012 when Hughes, as we used to be known, became HughesLeahyKarlovic. And the last few years have brought some really exciting growth. New clients, new employees, new departments…even a new office in Denver.
As you can imagine, this growth has us inspired. By the thrill of change. By the power of great ideas. By the endless possibilities before us.
But we’re both inspired and grounded. We know what we want, what we want to be and who we are.
And who we are… is independent.
Independent is more than a business classification. It’s what drives us.
Independent gets us up in the morning. It keeps us up at night. Independent is demanding. And independent is rewarding.
It means the vision we put forth is ours.
It means we are not beholden to a holding company.
Independent carries responsibility. Independent demands acceleration. It requires authenticity.
We are independent of old habits and new trends. Every challenge is met with energy. Every opportunity is a chance to prove ourselves all over again. And again.
Independent means each office is the home office. The people we hire, the clients we embrace, the priorities we set, the benefits we provide — all the decisions that define us — are made right here.
It means the names on the door are the faces in the meeting.
Independent makes us a sturdy partner with strong perspectives and pure motivations. It also makes us proud of who we are and what we do each and every day.
Independent is our core, our fuel and our motivation. Call it what you will.
Independent is who we are.
Enough talk, time to let our work speak for itself. Please check out the Work section to see some of the projects we’re proud to call ours.
We can’t wait to see what’s on the horizon for our amazing brands, our talented employees and the future of HLK.
