Change • Maker (noun)

An individual who doesn’t just embrace HLK values — they live them.

They consistently challenge the status quo to bring new solutions for our clients and teams. They change the agency, our work and our communities for the better.

Each year at our annual holiday party, we host the Changemaker Awards to recognize HLKers who embody our core values through the way they lead, collaborate, and create impact. The three award categories — Be Curious, Be Thoughtful and Be Brave — celebrate individuals who elevate our culture, strengthen our work, and move the agency forward.

This year, we received an exceptional number of nominations — a reflection of the talent, care, and commitment that fills HLK. We’re proud to recognize the finalists in each category and to celebrate our 2025 Changemaker Award winners.

Be Curious Kristen Kaestner

Planner

Kristen brings curiosity to life through her constant pursuit of understanding — not just what’s happening, but why it matters. In a fast-moving, often chaotic year, she consistently leaned in, asked sharp questions, and pushed herself — and those around her — to think more deeply.

Working across both Envu Global and Ameren, Kristen has expanded her expertise beyond individual markets to understand the full complexity of each business. Her curiosity shows up in tangible ways: from unpacking Brand Health and Share of Voice to translating nuanced insights into clear, actionable direction that shapes planning and priorities. Her work this year directly informed future-facing strategy and strengthened how teams connect messaging, audiences, and focus areas.
